ZoomInfo model flaws

I found my information had been sucked off the Internet and populated in the Zoominfo database via a Google search on my name. When I went to the site to investigate I discovered that their methodology was flawed in terms of how one can edit information. You have to sign up for an account to access your info they have essentially acquired without your permission for resale in their business. In setting up this account, they expect you can still receive email at one of the business email addresses they have obtained, or more intrusively, they as you to verify who you are by providing a credit card for a one time not retained transaction through Versign?
Both requests are inherently flawed. Who can still receive email at an email address from a former employer? In this age if Identity theft, who wants to give someone a credit card # to supposedly verify identity? Sorry folks, but you cannot expect to build a business, let alone attract serious participants in the service, with this approach.
I have required that my information be removed from their system. I would suggest you take a look do the same if you are in there. There are plenty of other free and non restrictive services such as linkedin that offer better ways to network and be seen by recruiters, etc.
