Fotki is not the only site I love but I don't think I spend as much time on any other site as here - it gets very addictive once you start browsing around and enjoying he world vicariously through others' photos... It's much like Youtube only in photos!

I ordered over %50.00 worth of prints from Fotki over 2 weeks ago, and inquired by e mail as to the status of my order several times with no response given. The order tracking page was not operational for several days and csustomer service did not reply until I called several times. They asked me to cancel the order, then upon several calls said they would send me my prints and not charge me, but they have notr yet delivered, nor given me a credit nor responded in writing as I requested. Avoid this company.

I did extensive research over 3 years ago to find the best photo sharing site. Some of those around back then aren't even in business now, but Fotki still is. I wanted a site with no ads (Fotki Premium), ability to share many photos with family & friends, folder/subfolder/album categories, option to password protect all or only some albums, ability for friends & family to upload or print a photo from my site for free, etc., etc...
I see that there are many new photo sharing sites now, but Fotki has to be one of the very best!

I looked at many other photo sharing sites, and Fotki is the best. I can upload photos straight from my Pocket PC - that in itself is great!

I have been with fotki for quite a while. I have never had the urge to search for other photo sharing sites as other Fotki customers have done that and told their experience which saved me time. I am a 99% satisfied fotki customer. The only thing I could /would complain about is that Fotki does not listen to their customers as they should. Many, many Fotki customers have asked Fotki to change their voting system. Fotki said that their contest is only supposed to be "just" for fun but give out a first, second and third price. There is a lot of butt kissing going on at voting time, this could be eliminated to a point if Fotki would not publish the names of the contestants. Most of the voters have asked and pleaded with Fotki not to publish the names but Fotki does not listen to anyone. If someone enters a contest, the contestant would like to win. Also a lot of customers have pleaded to change the Fotki homepage as it was or at least put more thumbnailson. The space is there (on the bottom right), but Fotki doesn't listen to that either.
"Fotki, if you take money for your service, you should listen to your customers more!"
But all in all, I am not an unsatisfied customer.

The best of the best!! Only been there a few months but so happy with everything about thise sharing website.

Ever since Sandy showed it to me, I'm hooked - just keep watching the contests and searching for photo tags - the Slideshow rocks.
I can't say I love the navigation that much, but ordered my favorite prints - came clean and nice and just 9 cents each. Oh, also, sorry, on a not so great side, it was a bi slow this morning, but now seems much faster - maybe just my ISP??

been a member for a while now and it is a great community and a great service for your money.

I joined Fotki a few years ago when the service I was on went under. This prompted me to test many other sites and I found Fotki to be the best by a wide margin. Furthermore, Fotki has not disappointed me.

Not only is Fotki the best site for sharing photo images, it is also a place where people from around the world can come together with a common interest. The membership, for the most part, are very friendly and helpful when you encounter a problem or have some questions. Add to this an administration that is responsive and you have an unbeatable combination.

I think that Fotki.com is the most availabiliting photo sharing site at this moment, where u have so many possibilities to make your album look like u want;)

Lately Fotki had some problems due to upgrading and providing their members with even better and more plausible solutions for viewing, sharing and storing their pictures. BUT now everything is sorted and it is the best choice moneywise but certainly also for fun!
Some of the reviews may be affected by those troubles so I thought it is only fair to mention them! I am a happy customer and paid my contribution till 2011 already! Is that enough proove or what????

A friend of mine invited to her online photo album, hosted by Fotki.com. I was quite pleased with them and started to get some doubts about my then-current hosting service by SmugMug, which I had carefully picked after researching half a dozen of services... SmugMug had some limitations (no e-mailing from within the account, less ways to upload photos, less flexibility in displaying public vs. private albums) and their polite support didn't sound very interested in considering customer's wishes, replying along the lines "we don't practice this". Out of fairness, to give them credit, SmugMug’s support response time is awesome - within an hour, often less, even on week-ends! Also, they do have something that Fotki doesn't - notifications of comments, basic editing and enhancement, detailed stats (down to number of times a single photo was looked at), and finally, that professional appeal – you just feel that the site is made by professional photographers who are also entrepreneurs...

And yet, my overall impression was that Fotki features more and it has all the important aspects I need – broad and diverse community of both armatures and professionals; customer service with a real personal touch, unheard of on behemoths’ sites a-la Kodak and Snapfish; option of unlimited storage; hi-res (originals); EXIF data; linkage from other forums; inexpensive and quality print ordering (what a sweet deal, $0.09/print!!!); FTP uploading; and co-branding.

Now, there are some things I'd like be improved, such as smoother uptime, fairer photo contest system, more sophisticated statistics, developing an internal “professional zone”, some co-branding tweaks and fixes, etc. I believe it's all doable and in consideration. Looking at the changes and enhancements made in the recent months, I can only imagine how aggressive and open-minded they could be. I recommend giving them a try and dare to compare them with your current service, if you have one already. Kodak- and Snapfish-alikes will have a snowball-in-hell chance for sure!

Please don't waste your money--especially if you value your privacy. Fotki makes it very easy for others to misuse photos on other sites, and also allows random users to email account holders picture albums around the world.

Also the account settings give you the option to disable picture sharing..does it work?? No. The account options under privacy give you the option to opt of having your account included in the search engines on fotki and also yahoo etc. Does it work? NO.

Sadly Fotki fails to live up to its promises. If you are looking to join a good picture storage site, please look elsewhere.

Well, I guess I'm the typical problem customer. I wanted to join fotki, and I found they did not accept paypal on their main payment page. I emailed and asked if their was an alternate way to pay with paypal. They emailed me back with instructions on a Thursday. I waited patiently until end of day Friday, and shot off another email. Long story short since paypal wasn't a usual means of payment, it had to be processed manually. They could not do it till that Monday.

They credited me with a few weeks of free service. So, I caused them more work - and they gave me free service! Sounds like great customer service?

So far they rock. Other services don't let you FTP upload. Fotki does. I love the albums and all the functionality! I'm loving it so far.

Forget Flickr and Webshots. Fotki is the place to be. You cannot beat their membership fee for the services that they offer. Quality of customer service surpasses any other site out there. Can't say enough.

Right now Fotki is working on new features and a new design of their main page.
I like the customer orientated approach and the great customer service. Fotki is one of the very few sites I came across,
who takes requests or complaints from their customers serious and makes work out of it. The Contests need better
rules and preselections and there are a few other issues that would be worth to be addressed, but the magic thing on Fotki is that you ask and you'll get! My overall conclusion
is that Fotki is a great host who constantly improves the already great service. I tried several photo sharing sites, but they all can't beat Fotki.

best site ever!

This is what I call "yummy site" - forget the poor-man's "design" of a white page with text links - I really get engaged visually here. They still have some ways to go at Fotki - I am big on playing computer games and even I had to "dig" for treasures on this site (like album properties - come on, guys, you've got to put it a couple of levels up!) but their approach and how they listen to customers is almost unique. Flickr used to be like that 1.5 yrs ago - but no more.
I say 5 out of 5 (but only if they promise to continue working hard on making it much more INTUITIVE for first-timers!) :)
