Doostang's been through a lot of changes over it's lifetime. But the Doostang of today, while it retains certain characteristics of the old, has an almost completely different focus.

Nowadays, Doostang is all about connecting top talent with the top jobs. They offer eager applicants the chance to actually email the hiring manager's inbox directly (READ: NOT SOME GENERIC CORPORATE INBOX) and address your cover letter to the person who will actually be reading your letter and hiring for your position. Additionally, many of these jobs are posted by recruiters who may not be advertising these jobs at large.

In these tough economic times, gaining an edge in the hiring process is crucial. Doostang's doing that for their customers by increasing the chances resumes and cover letters are actually read. I'm a student currently looking for a job right now, and I'm seriously considering updating my Doostang profile and going premium. Only thing holding me back is that they focus more on the college graduates with a few years experience in the market. Lots of great finance and consulting jobs though
