One of the benefits of integration with a common registration is the ability to easily add comments posts and links between directory items and forum entries.  For now this will be done "the old fashion way" through url cut and pasting.

For now it made more sense to just launch a new window with the forum and level the directory in another window. 

I'm new to SMF forums so I didn't want to start editing the "menu code" until I get more comfortable with it (or find someone else who is ;-) )
